Senya Beraku WhatsApp Group Organises Cleanup Exercise.
A WhatsApp group named Senya Pramaso, which was created by Rev. Abeiku Okai, the General Steward of the Anathallo Chapel International, and a native, has embarked on a massive cleanup exercise at Senya Beraku, a community in the Central Region of the Republic of Ghana. The group is made up of members of the community, both home and abroad, both youth and senior citizens.
The exercise, which was planned a couple of months ago was meant to mobilise the citizens of Senya Beraku, both home and abroad, to come together and contribute tangibly to the development of the community.
The organiser, Rev. BIC Abeiku Okai said the cleanup exercise is the first of series of practical steps towards the community development agenda of the Pramaso WhatsApp platform. And while they would keep the cleanup exercise constant they will also launch into other important exercises to help change the development story of the community.
The Women's Organiser, popularly called Lady Posh, advised the community members to continue keeping the environment clean because cleanliness is next to godliness. She also called on all natives of Senya Beraku outside the town to make every effort to come down to join them bring change to the community.
Members of the group did not only participate physically but also donated monies to take care of every expenses, especially those who couldn't be present. Other members also provided refreshments packages.
Also present was Keneltv, which belongs to a native of the community and had them coming as part his contribution towards the effort. The television crew couldn't hide their impression as they took their coverage and interviewed the participants. They promised to remain a partner and promote the effort of the group.
The Planning Committee of the cleanup exercise were highly praised for their efforts and encouraged to mobilise all the community members for the next activity instead of restricting it to only a few and those on social media.
The next exercise is scheduled to take off in January and the organisers are already appealing to everybody to support in anyway helpful to keep the dream alive.
